Journal Sources


The following sites offer bibliographic information for journal literature in disciplines relevant to the DOE R&D mission:

Energy Citations Database – provides free access to bibliographic records for energy and energy-related scientific and technical information from the Department of Energy (DOE) and its predecessor agencies, the Energy Research & Development Administration (ERDA) and the Atomic Energy Commission (AEC). The database provides access to DOE publicly available citations from 1948 through the present, with continued growth through regular updates.

Infotrieve's Article Finder [exit federal site] – accesses scientific, technical, medical, and other scholarly content. Search citations and abstracts from journals with a simple or advanced search [exit federal site]. Article Finder contains the content of Infotrieve's eContent, Table of Contents (TOCs) and MEDLINE® databases, with direct feeds from publishers and access to several other databases all in one collection.

ScienceResearch.com [exit federal site] – provides access via one query to numerous scientific journals and public science databases. Depending on the source, full-text documents may be available. In the event full text is not available, an abstract of the article and a link to the source will be retrieved.

Scirus [exit federal site] – covers scientific information through ScienceDirect, MEDLINE on BioMedNet, Beilstein on ChemWeb, Neuroscion, BioMed Central and Patents from the United States Patent and Trademark Office, and related information on the web.
